Progression | Cisco Collaboration

Finally got the missing one…yeah

After 10 long days , I finally found the right Cisco image on Bitspyder.

So testing in the lab and this time , it is successful !!!! 😉

Now I’m confident that I can run mostly the all servers lab personally . It is a great news as I can go ahead .

Trying UCCX install

Okay I have recovered the Cisco OS 2003 , it is a 2003.1.4 base so better than I have expected .

Beginning the install , but after the first stage of the OS installation portion , it doesn’t succeed completely .During all the week-end , I have tried again and again with different config of the VMware , hack registry settings ….

But still no chance .

After some investiguations , it appears that the OS that I have is detinated for IBM machines …. and I’m thinking that it is the problem.

I’d like also to thank Chikki for his help in troubleshooting this state.

Back to the starting point …. need to find a good OS

Remembering of Cisco OS 2003

I remembered suddenly that I can have may be the OS 2003 at work as it has been delivered for our ICM implementations .

After a short break , I can start again hoping to have the 5 servers needed for the lab.

Will try recovering it to continue with my installation

Moving the lab

With the “new VM Ware Server” , I have moved all the image from the old to the new server and after a quick reconfiguration it works fine …

Everything is running fine.

Still missing the UCCX part.

Receiving a “new” VM Ware server

Okay , I will continue my project with a new pc , this one will hold the VM Ware server for my hosts and has more RAM and disk spaces .

It is running Windows 7 . Not to bad as first impression .

My wife won’t be longer disturbed with my lab , everyone has its pc 🙂

GNS3 lab

I found also a way to emulate the WAN and LAN with this incredible tool : GNS3

Amazing what we can find and can do …

Even if the voice-cards are not yet supported, it is still interesting.
