SIP is a text-based, application-Layer control signaling protocol that is used for setting up, modifying and tearing down multimedia sessions between participants and takes advantages of elements of HTPP, SMTP and SDP.
SIP Protocol can use TCP or UDP at the transport layer. The port used is then TCP/UDP/5060 but is TCP/5061 for TLS over TCP
It can use as well multicast as well unicast communication or a combination of the both.

Here are the different port that the Gatekeeper will use for specific traffic :
- UDP/1718 Traffic between Gatekeeper
- UDP/1719 Traffic used by H323 devices to register with the Gatekeeper

Tonight , I have finally finished the second study guide … it was very hard some times to keep attention on it .
The CC bootcamp study is well done in general but some chapters don’t seem to be structured .
As the Quick Reference Sheet , it was helpful but I know that I have to review it once again .
